FAQs
I understand that starting therapy can bring up many questions, and I’m here to provide clarity and support. Below, you’ll find answers to common questions about BWRT®, Hypnotherapy, and Past Life Regression Therapy, as well as how they work, what to expect, and how they can help you.

If you don’t see your question here, feel free to contact me—I’m happy to help!

What is hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a natural phenomenon you experience many times during the day, for example, when reading a good book or watching television. It is only a wonderfully relaxed state. Hypnosis is not sleep and you will be conversing with me during the session.
Is BWRT hypnosis?
BWRT is not hypnosis. BWRT® is a science-based, rapid-change therapy that rewires neural pathways to create new, healthier responses to triggers. It is a fully awake, conscious process that does not require relaxation or trance-like states.

Is Past Life Regression Therapy hypnosis?
Yes, PLRT is a form of hypnosis. It involves guiding you into a deeply relaxed, trance-like state where your subconscious mind becomes more accessible. In this state, you may recall what feels like memories from past lives, gaining insight into current life challenges, emotional patterns, or unexplained fears.

Will I remember what happened in the session?
Yes, you will have total recall of everything that has happened during the session. You are always in total control. You can hear everything I say to you and can and will converse with me throughout the session.

Are there some people who cannot be hypnotised?
Anyone who can follow simple instructions can be hypnotized. People who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be considered for treatment.

Will I be going to sleep?
No! You will be conscious of everything during the session. Your body may feel heavy and relaxed but your mind will be focused and alert.

What will hypnosis feel like?
There is no such thing as a hypnotised feeling. In hypnosis, you will feel the same as you would if you were engrossed in a book or absorbed in a good movie. It is a very relaxed feeling that most people wish they never had to leave behind.

Will I lose control?
No. You are always completely in control of your body and thoughts. You cannot be made to do or say things you don't want to. My therapies are safe and have been used for a long time by dentists, doctors and psychotherapists. They are proven therapeutic aids. My professional code of conduct and ethics means you don't need to worry.

Will I remember everything?
Yes. None of the therapies I do are done without your control; you choose the path of the therapy.

How will I feel when I finish my session?
You will feel fine. In most cases, you will feel relaxed but refreshed. You will be able to drive or go back to work if you wish. Expect a really good night's sleep that night, though!

How many sessions will I need?
It depends on individual cases. Some issues can be dealt with very quickly in only a couple of sessions, while others, like emetophobia, take more time. This can be discussed during your free initial consultation.
What happens in the sessions?
In the sessions, I teach you how the body and mind work together and how to recognise and eliminate unhelpful thinking.

Who should do these therapy sessions?
Anybody who wants to improve their lives.

How many sessions will I need?
People generally only need five to six weekly sessions. If you need longer to heal, we do what is necessary to get you there. We have zero time restraints and will do what is in your best interest.

How long are the sessions?
Sessions are usually for one hour each week.

Do you do group sessions?
Not usually. All of my therapies can be delivered in groups, but in my experience, one-to-one sessions are more successful. If a group is needed in a particular situation, we can discuss this to find out what is best for you.

What is required of me?
To obtain the best results from the program, you must actively participate in the sessions and apply the knowledge you gained from our sessions to your daily life. No wand is involved - you will need to put in the effort!
If you do this, your life will change incredibly.

Is this like counseling?
Not at all. This program teaches you how to manage your thinking in the here and now, so there is no need to revisit past traumas and hurts. Counselling can be very helpful in helping people recognise how their past experiences have shaped them, but unfortunately, it doesn't seem to help them overcome their problems and move on.
